So I spent most of this beautiful weekend curled up on the couch or in my bed with my youngest who decided to start running a fever last Friday night, until the wee early hours of Sunday morning when I woke up and realized he and were both soaking wet. That's a nice feeling, let me just tell you - waking up floating in someone else's sweat. But hey, no more fever.
It's the last week of school. Friday at 11:30am, when the bus comes around for the last time this school year, I will have a fifth grader and a second grader. Which means I have one more year to start adjusting myself to the fact that when Drew goes to sixth grade (which around here means transitioning to middle school) we will have to start getting up and getting ready for school at a time that begins with a six. NOT THE PART I LOOK FORWARD TO.
So anyway, remember how I mentioned that I was going to start writing for a group blog called Midwest Parents? Well, this is my week. Click on over and tell them good things about me. I'll be there all week.
