Tomorrow morning the bus stops in front of my house at 8:05 for the first time in 10 days, and my life officially returns to normal. Well, as normal as normal gets anyway. I mean, it's so weird this time of year, I've been waiting for months for Spring to show up, for Winter to be over, and the calendar says its March 1st and we all go "Yay!" And then we go on Spring Break and it's my birthday and then St. Patrick's Day and then March Madness and then soccer practice starts and then it's Spring Solstice, and then I do the quick math and realize I only have two Sundays left before Easter to put together a youth-led Sunrise Easter service from SCRATCH, and we play more soccer and have two more scout meetings and then it's May and then school is out, only not just for 10 days over Spring Break but for an entire summer.
And then I'm all, Wha? What happened to Spring?
Breathe.
I don't care what the calender says it isn't spring until I can put my socks away until fall. I hate socks.
